News story on illegal immigrants

Here is one for you...

WATSONVILLE, Calif. (AP) -- Fruit and vegetables in northern California are being left in the fields because farmers can't find enough workers for harvest.
Farmers say there are up to 20 percent fewer workers available to pick the strawberry, raspberry and vegetable crops in Santa Cruz County. One says it's the worst labor shortage he's seen in 30 years.

A lot of farmers blame the lack of workers on tightened borders. The Western Growers Association says illegal workers may handle 80 percent of the agricultural work in California.

Where are all the white people at? I thought that if you got rid of all the illegals, then the jobs would be filled by all those white folks out of work...

D'oh!
